Episode Overview

At 25, Ben is a man with immense potential, yet his life has been marred by violence, homelessness, and a deep sense of isolation. To cope with his struggles, he turns to DXM, a substance found in some cough medicines that, when abused, creates effects akin to those of PCP. To fund his addiction, Ben resorts to committing desperate crimes. Meanwhile, 22-year-old Josh battles food addiction, weighing in at 550 pounds. His father, who has faced similar weight challenges and serious health issues, fears for his son's future. Determined to prevent an early death for Josh, the family hopes a supportive intervention will help both Josh and his father, Rex, embark on a healthier path together.
