Episode Overview
Judge Gibbons has been fatally stabbed, prompting Bayliss and Pembleton to discuss a book Bayliss is currently reading as they head to the scene. Pembleton muses about the possibility of someone documenting their Homicide unit's stories. Meanwhile, a probation officer is shot in a drive-by incident, drawing the FBI's attention to Gibbons's murder. Agent Bauer suggests to Bayliss that Kellerman's earlier clash with Gibbons might have led to the judge's demise and insists on keeping Kellerman away from the case. A fingerprint at the crime scene links to Junior Bunk, Georgia Rae's son. Falsone and Stivers pursue leads in the probation officer's shooting. As Junior is interrogated, he appears unfazed by intimidation tactics. While awaiting transfer, Kellerman, Lewis, and Gharty confront Junior, who seizes the opportunity to retrieve a gun from a desk drawer.
