Meanwhile, Munch faces the IRS as his Waterfront colleagues press him to ensure their accountant cousin has been settling their tax obligations. They require a loan for essential renovations. Gharty is taking a personal day to cope with his recent breakup with Flora. Munch's IRS hearing reveals he owes $30,000 in back taxes. Bayliss and Sheppard explore Bayliss's sexuality and the prospect of a date, while Falsone introduces MGee and Ballard to an old fight associate of the doctor.
