Episode Overview
A woman approaches the homicide unit with a videotape from her mystery-writer husband, claiming his literary agent orchestrated his murder. Detectives Ballard and Gharty take the case, but they face a challenge with no body or crime scene to investigate. Meanwhile, Munch and Bayliss look into the suspicious death of an elderly woman during a break-in, pondering if it was a homicide. Munch, eager for a weekend getaway with Billie Lou, is hesitant to focus on the case. As Ballard and Gharty uncover evidence in the writer’s office, they make a breakthrough, leading to the arrest of the literary agent and an accomplice, although Danvers is uncertain about a conviction. Falsone asks Ballard out for Saturday night, only for the jury to return with a verdict, thanks to the keen observations of a juror.
