Donkey Kong and Diddy discover that Cranky and K. Rool were once pals. Eager to rekindle their friendship, they devise a plan to reunite the two. Initially, it appears their efforts have worked, but it soon becomes clear that K. Rool is merely pretending to be friendly in order to outshine Cranky during a competition.
