Following a series of blunders that frustrate his friends, Donkey Kong comes to believe that Kongo Bongo would thrive without his presence. Just as he decides to leave, he accidentally hits a tree branch and gets knocked unconscious. In his dream, he envisions a version of Kongo Bongo without him, exploring how life on the island might unfold in his absence.
