Episode Overview
After the tragic death of a female boxer following an exhibition match, Cory takes it upon herself to dig deeper into the case. However, the new District Attorney, who she finds herself attracted to, worries she may not be up to the task. To assist, he brings back T.C., who has been struggling since Chris's departure, much to Cory's dismay. Cory, Strickland, and Cruz go undercover as a boxer and her manager. Their investigation leads them to a poisoned water bottle linked to Mia St. John. During questioning, they learn the bottle belongs to Mia, leading to suspicions that she might have been the intended victim. Strickland meets Joey, another fighter feeling overlooked due to her looks, and they uncover a connection between Joey's manager, Rick, and Mia. When they attempt to apprehend Rick, he flees, but they eventually catch him and discover he was responsible for the poisoned bottle meant for Mia.
