Title: What Lies Beneath; Back for Blood Plot: Following an arrest for a domestic altercation, a man reveals to Louisville Detectives Jon Lesher and Collin King that his boyfriend committed murder seven months prior and concealed the body in their basement. Initially doubtful of his story, the detectives dig through the sweltering basement and uncover a shocking reality: a large plastic container buried five feet deep holds human remains. They now face the challenge of discerning whether the accused is a ruthless murderer or a target of a vengeful partner. Meanwhile, in Charlotte, Det. Susan Sarvis and her homicide team investigate the brutal stabbing of a 55-year-old father, searching for the last known person with the victim to determine his role in the crime.
