In the middle of the day, a man is shot dead in close proximity. Detective Freddie Ponce and his team trace a trail of blood from the crime scene to a nearby apartment complex, suspecting the shooter may be hiding there. Meanwhile, Detectives Doug Lindle and Matthew Thompson delve into the murder of the man who was killed just outside his own apartment.
