Colin has once again backed out, leaving Zoe frustrated as the others at the station poke fun at him. Meanwhile, Nick shares with Kevin that he has been accepted into a survival training course. Blue Watch receives a call to rescue a man whose escape act has gone awry. Tension rises as Kevin and Marion argue about his upcoming course, causing a rift between them. Bayleaf and Claire decide to hire a private investigator to track down Melanie in Spain. Jamie is hospitalized for a lung and heart transplant, while Hallam and Sandra visit Recall and Laura.
