Sicknote becomes increasingly anxious about his thinning hair, but Jean just finds it amusing. Charisma makes a comeback to Blackwall after several years and is warmly welcomed by his old friends. Nick, however, is taken aback by Charisma's slick chatter. George asks Jaffa to cover for him for a couple of hours so he can make it to the theatre on time. An elderly woman exposes the fake firefighters when her grandson, part of the brigade, recognizes their outdated uniforms. While Blue Watch practices a ladder drill, the alarm sounds, prompting Nick's crew to rush out while the others carry on with their training. They enter the kitchen in breathing apparatus, startling Maggie, who accidentally kicks a hose, causing it to spray water everywhere. Meanwhile, Sandra’s new boss makes an inappropriate advance toward her, and Claire investigates some bounced checks. As George heads out early, Jaffa steps in just as Blue Watch responds to a massive explosion at a gas depot. With gas bottles exploding like
