Episode Overview
The series of gas explosions continues, leaving Jaffa severely burned but still clinging to life. Tensions rise between Scase and Nick when Scase cancels the helicopter Nick requested for Jaffa’s transport. Eventually, Nick apologizes, admitting Scase was right—no helicopter could safely land amidst the flying debris. Meanwhile, Hallam and Sicknote attempt to rescue a worker from the burning gas depot but narrowly escape when another explosion erupts. George learns about the massive fire at the theatre and, just as Blue Watch returns, he calls the station. Shocked by Jaffa's accident, he visits him in the hospital, where Jaffa’s wife insists it was his choice, leaving George filled with guilt, wishing he could have taken Jaffa’s place. Kevin tries to check on George at home but only finds Kelly, who says she can't reach him. George confides in Larissa about his feelings, and she offers comfort.
