George is still burdened by guilt over Jaffa's accident, but S.O. Suffolk makes an effort to lift his spirits. Sicknote suddenly sports a cap, revealing to Charisma that a lotion has left an unsightly rash on his head. Nick and Pearce attend a coroner's inquiry regarding Donald's death in the fire. Pearce acknowledges his past rudeness towards the boy and feels remorseful, but the coroner ultimately determines the incident as a tragic accident. He is genuinely moved when Donald’s mother shares how much her son admired the brigade and hands him a drawing of Blackwall. Meanwhile, Blue Watch responds to an emergency where a man is trapped in his heating system, surrounded by unpleasant pets that send Bayleaf running.
