Episode Overview

Roz confides in Wayne that she feels out of place in Mount Thomas and views herself as a failure, asking him to think about transferring back to the city. Tom assigns Wayne to investigate some damage at the Henderson farm. While on the case, he spots a car that looks like it’s broken down and offers help. However, as he approaches, the occupants shoot him and flee. Injured and bleeding, Wayne struggles to reach his vehicle to call for assistance but ultimately loses consciousness. Meanwhile, Maggie tries to contact him over the radio but can't get through. A passerby sees Wayne's condition and uses his radio to alert Maggie and Nick, who rush to the scene. Later, Maggie takes Roz to the hospital to see Wayne, where Roz reveals she’s decided against the Melbourne job, professing her love for him and her uncertainty about the future.
