Episode Overview
Shane Thompson, a professional shooter known for his short fuse, returns to Mt. Thomas, causing tension between Tom and Nick. Tom worries that Shane’s arrival could jeopardize his wife and children, while Nick, who has supported Shane through his marital troubles, has helped him find work and maintain contact with his eldest son. Desperate to mend his fractured family, Shane faces rejection from his wife, who is now with someone else. Despite Tom's concerns, Nick takes an active role in Shane's situation, offering him temporary housing at the warehouse keeper's place, where Shane’s firearms are kept in a corner. When Zoo Hamilton’s gun goes missing, it’s discovered that Shane’s son took it, upset over his father's unfulfilled promise and the ongoing strain between his parents.
