Episode Overview
Nick is missing at the start of his shift, prompting a concerned Maggie to inform Tom that he hasn’t returned to the watchhouse keeper’s residence. Eventually, it comes to light that he’s been at the home of Danielle Carter, an ex-prostitute involved in a significant criminal trial in Mount Thomas. While his fellow officers find this amusing, PJ is less than entertained, realizing that Nick’s involvement could jeopardize the already challenging case surrounding the rape of an ex-crow. Meanwhile, Dash is shocked to receive a love letter from the grumpy farmer Keith Purvis, only to discover it’s another one of Nick’s pranks. When Nick finds a note from a supposed admirer inviting him to meet in the park, he thinks it’s Dash getting back at him. He dismisses it, but soon receives a more alarming message: shredded underwear stained with blood. It’s clear this isn’t just a joke, leaving Maggie and PJ to wonder if Daniel is the one stalking Nick.
