Episode Overview
When local farmer Jack Buckley wins the Oz lotto, the community at the Imperial is overjoyed for him. Jack's family has faced hardships with their farm for generations, and he hopes to use the winnings to pay off their debts and secure their legacy. However, the next day, Jack reports that his winning ticket has been stolen, raising doubts for PJ, who learns that the newsagent doesn’t recall selling it to Jack, and his family doesn’t remember seeing it either. While PJ thinks Jack might be losing his grip on reality, Maggie firmly supports him. Even though PJ thinks it’s a closed case, Maggie’s belief in Jack keeps him curious. If the ticket is real, who could have taken it? Jack suspects the "vultures" who attended the auction the previous day, but so far, no one has come forward to claim the prize. Among the auction-goers was Adam, who bought an old cradle to restore for his baby.
