Episode Overview
When Nick discovers the 3SD van broadcasting live from the heart of Mount Thomas, it sends the station into a frenzy. DJ Rod Wright is talking about a supposed crime wave hitting the town, which the Heelers initially dismiss as unfounded. However, things take a turn when Vi Chisholm is knocked down and her bag is snatched, while Greg Anderson reports damage to his hardware store. Adam heads to investigate the incident at Anderson's Hardware, while Maggie and Dash take Vi in for questioning. At the hardware store, Adam learns that the damage is minor—just a dislodged rack of keys—and the suspect is Zac Taylor, a recently dismissed employee. Dean, Greg's son, reveals Zac was fired for poor performance and had threatened Greg afterwards. Adam then sets out to confront Zac, finding him washing car windows at a stoplight, and brings him in for questioning.
