Episode Overview

Nick is at the front desk when a young man named Gavin Stone walks in to report that his father's car has been stolen. At first, it seems like a typical case until Dash, visibly disturbed, reveals that Gavin is known as the scarecrow and his father as the Troll. Dash shares that local kids have long feared the Troll and his son, and even now the scarecrow unnerves her. Later, Maggie runs into Gavin as he leaves the station, noticing his dilapidated car. He begs her for a chance to fix it, as it’s their only means of transportation. Though she lets him off with a warning, she eventually has to declare the car unroadworthy. Meanwhile, PJ is looking into a string of car thefts from a supermarket parking lot, with each victim describing a suspicious man seen hanging around. Tom is convinced that these incidents are connected and not just random acts.
