Episode Overview

Is Tom Croydon losing his edge? That’s the impression Chris Riley and the Heelers get when Tom doesn’t confront a rowdy group of drunks. Even after the louts release a live snake in the pub and make inappropriate advances towards Maggie and Dash, Tom prevents PJ from taking action against them. The Heelers are frustrated, questioning why Tom would defend such "yobbos." Meanwhile, Maggie and Nick are looking into some odd behavior from the Torrinis, local market gardeners and friends of Nick. Augusta had tried to speak with Nick at the station, but her husband whisked her away before she could share her concerns. Now their stall has been vandalized, and Augusta has been hurt. Maggie suspects domestic violence, but Nick thinks otherwise, proposing that the Torrinis might be facing harassment from the Belfanti brothers, prominent market gardeners who were recently let go as their agents.
