Episode Overview
PJ is hot on the heels of a cat burglar known as the Possum, who has been behind several jewel heists in Mt. Thomas and remains elusive. He reaches out to Maggie for assistance, but she struggles to concentrate on the investigation, as her mind is consumed with worry about her brother Robbie, who has relapsed into heroin use. Realizing she needs her family’s support to help Robbie, Maggie asks their father, Sgt. Pat Doyle, to come up from Melbourne. Confronting Robbie, they hear his claims that he can quit whenever he wants, but they recognize it as just another excuse. They offer their support if he’s willing to fight his addiction. Robbie then proposes that he can go cold turkey with their help. In response, Maggie and Pat agree to take turns watching over him during withdrawal, making it even more challenging for Maggie to focus on the case.
