Episode Overview

During a weekend getaway in Melbourne, Maggie and Chris find themselves in a perilous situation when they walk into an armed robbery at a service station. The McKenzie brothers, who have escaped from prison, confront Chris while he's using Maggie's purse to pay for gas. When Maggie returns from the restroom, she successfully raises the alarm but suffers a beating for her efforts. Just as Tyrone prepares to pull the trigger, the Heelers respond to the commotion. Consumed by guilt and feeling responsible for the chaos, Maggie watches Chris struggle to cope. To distract herself from her own trauma, she throws herself into the investigation, all while trying to keep up appearances under the scrutiny of Tom and PJ, refusing to take a break despite a serious head injury. The only one aware of her turmoil is her father, Pat, who rushes to her side upon hearing the news. While he cares deeply for her, Maggie grows increasingly worried about his drinking problem.
