Episode Overview

Tom becomes a member of a community board with Chris, tasked with establishing a new local bank. However, his involvement is jeopardized when he and Pat Doyle are implicated in a parliamentary investigation into corrupt officers. The Heelers come together to back Tom, but Jo finds herself isolated after suggesting that Tom might be guilty of wrongdoing. While Maggie is worried about Tom, she feels a sense of relief knowing her father is retired and unlikely to face repercussions from the investigation. Initially, Tom remains unconcerned due to his clear conscience, but as rumors circulate, the bank board demands his resignation, leading to a loss of trust from the community. Meanwhile, Jo struggles to find support when her friend, school teacher Selina Harvey, faces accusations of drug dealing and misconduct.
