Episode Overview

While on a routine patrol, Jack encounters a reckless driver who brandishes what Jack believes is a sawn-off shotgun. In a moment of panic, he fires his weapon, but thankfully, no one is injured. The driver, a local troublemaker named Darren Dawson, seizes the opportunity to accuse Jack of attempted murder and claims that money has been taken from his glove compartment, expressing his disdain for the police. Inspector Falcon Price arrives to investigate the unfolding chaos, where Dawson stirs up a protest at the station. When a young graffiti artist alleges that Jack assaulted him, Dawson champions his cause, blaming the incident on Jack's actions. Falcon Price is not impressed by the situation. Meanwhile, Tom feels the pressure to ensure that his new team member is well-managed and that the police maintain a positive reputation in Mt. Thomas, especially after Falcon Price's car goes missing from outside.
