Episode Overview
With Tim busy, Martin decides to invite Mrs. Brown out for a "date." However, to his surprise, she already has plans for the evening. Feeling downcast, Martin learns from Tim that he’s actually envious of Mrs. Brown’s new date, a dashing fashion designer named Andre Philippe Charles Dupre. At first, Martin recognizes Andre’s charm and talent, but he tries to dig up some flaws. When he finds none, he feels guilty about his feelings and resolves to support Mrs. Brown’s happiness, despite sensing her doubts about Andre. During their dinner, Martin goes out of his way to make Andre appear romantic, but when Andre proposes, Mrs. Brown declines, believing their perfect evening leaves no room for growth. She later confides in Tim and Martin that women often prefer men with imperfections, subtly suggesting that Martin fits that bill.
