Episode Overview

Title: A Nose for News Plot: Tim is furious with Martin for "vanishing and eavesdropping" during his date at the apartment. To make amends, Martin steps in when Tim goes AWOL from the office, fielding a call from Mr. Burns who is searching for him. Posing as Tim, Martin reports a story back to Burns, but the scheme goes awry when Mr. Burns spots Tim in the office while still on the line. Tim admits that it’s Martin on the phone. Complications arise when the story involves Burns' former acquaintance, Ambassador Lloyd Thomas, who threatens to sue the paper for privacy invasion. Discovering the lawsuit stems from past tensions between Burns and Thomas, Martin resolves to heal their long-standing rift.
