Episode Overview

The Mayor enlists the help of an engineer to fix an issue with his phone. As the engineer investigates the telephone wires, he steps away for lunch. During his absence, one of Mrs. Lovelace’s dogs tumbles into the excavation and disrupts all the connections! Fred, the assistant, attempts to reattach the wires but ends up making a mess of it, leading to a series of chaotic misunderstandings.
