Rehearsals for the annual charity show are in full swing, but Marilyn is troubled to discover that the main skit is a parody of the Winslow High staff, featuring a gun-wielding Senate and Buttle trapped in a donkey costume! Meanwhile, in a stairwell, Lauren stumbles upon two candidates for student body president, Peter and Susan, in a compromising position. When confronted, they deny any misconduct, but Peter's subsequent withdrawal from the election hints at Susan's influence. Additionally, Lauren faces complications with John LeBlonde, a top student from the suspended soccer team who needs Harper's endorsement for a prestigious academic award. Harper refuses to sign due to John's failure to report his teammates' misconduct, leaving Lauren in a difficult spot, especially after John confesses his feelings for her.
