Episode Overview
On the day Charles Halsey is set to be inaugurated as President of the United States, scientists spot a massive object racing toward Earth at half the speed of light. Halsey, known for his peaceful ideals, is swiftly taken to a secure underground bunker by his transition team, composed of aides and military officials who reflect the aggressive stance of the former administration. As the situation escalates, it becomes evident that the object is part of an approaching fleet of alien ships. Communication attempts are made, but the aliens' intentions remain ambiguous. With the U.S. and other nuclear nations preparing for a potential defense, Halsey faces a critical choice: are these extraterrestrials hostile invaders or friendly explorers eager to connect with humanity?
