Title: The Birth of New Life Plot: In this follow-up to Double Helix, Dr. Ira Nodel (RON RIFKIN) undergoes a transformation to connect with extraterrestrials who have infused Earth with their DNA. Accompanying him aboard an alien craft are his son Paul (Ryan Reynolds), Paul's girlfriend Hope (Kathleen Duborg), and six students. When Dr. Nodel touches a radiant pillar in the control center, he and Paul are enveloped by a dazzling light. Hope and the students fear they’ve fallen into a trap, especially as two students are mysteriously pulled through a wall. Determined to uncover the truth, Hope delves into Dr. Nodel's diary and dares to touch the glowing pillar, initiating her own transformation while a peculiar entity, echoing Dr. Nodel and Paul, attempts to communicate. Meanwhile, the ship continues to abduct students one by one.
