Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds (1981)

Episode Overview

Dogtanian and Pip remain stranded on the island, and Pip’s hunger drives them to venture inland in search of food. They stumble upon some fruit, but just as Pip is about to enjoy it, they hear a peculiar sound and decide to investigate. To their surprise, they discover an elephant, oddly described as “a monster with a tail where its mouth should be,” trapped in the mud. Together, they try to rescue the creature, with Dogtanian doing the heavy lifting. Just as they’re making progress, a crocodile appears. Pip attempts to hurl a rock at it but ends up on its back instead. Dogtanian tries to duel the crocodile but ends up caught in its jaws. Fortunately, the elephant uses its trunk to hurl nearby trees at the crocodile, turning the tide and saving them all.
