Episode Overview

Title: Tekawitha McLeod Plot: During a festive gathering at Fort Boonesborough, the celebration is disrupted by Flathead Joseph, a half-breed slave trader, who arrives with a young girl he claims is a Cherokee princess, alongside a white girl named Tekawitha McLeod. Tekawitha is the daughter of Cherokee Chief Menewa. When Daniel learns of the situation and confronts Menewa, he finds out that while she is indeed white and was captured during a raid, Menewa wants her returned. Daniel refuses, recognizing her family ties. Tensions rise as both the Native Americans and the settlers of Boonesborough prepare for conflict over her fate.
