Overview

Ellis Island, a three-part miniseries aired on CBS in 1984, vividly captures the struggles of immigrants arriving on Ellis Island from the late 1800s to the early 1910s in their pursuit of the American Dream. Co-written by Fred Mustard Stewart, who adapted it from his own 1983 novel, the narrative intertwines personal tales of hope and perseverance with significant historical events, including those leading up to and during World War I.
