In his debut murder case, Rollins applies his instincts and guidance from Kuzak to defend a woman who confesses to killing her abusive husband. After experiencing an anxiety attack, McKenzie realizes the age gap with Kepler is too significant and ends their relationship. Later, after aiding Becker in negotiating a settlement for a studio and an actress wishing to exit her contract, Kuzak finds himself drawn to the actress during a late-night celebration.
