McKenzie, Brackman transforms into a more efficient practice with the introduction of new partner Daniel Morales while saying goodbye to Grace, C.J., and Susan Bloom. Following a terrifying incident with an irate client who wields knives, Becker decides to abandon marital law in favor of a focus on entertainment law. Gwen starts her internship and shows interest in the recently widowed Daniel and his infant daughter. Zoey is discharged from the hospital, grappling with guilt over the shooting. Becker takes on a case for an actor claiming wrongful termination by an amusement park. Amidst the chaos of the 1992 Los Angeles riots, Brackman is wrongly arrested for looting, and Markowitz suffers serious injuries after being pulled from his vehicle and assaulted by a mob.
