Five months after the 1992 Los Angeles riots, Brackman finds himself at odds with the law, suing the city for false arrest due to a disturbing the peace charge. Meanwhile, Jonathan begins to set aside his ideals in pursuit of his election bid, and Mullaney takes a new role in the District Attorney's office. Markowitz is released from the hospital, embarking on a challenging recovery journey. Becker returns from his global travels, while a dying man reveals his past crime, prompting Daniel to represent the wrongfully convicted individual Leland prosecuted thirty years prior. Zoey, back at work, struggles with her new role in asset forfeiture.
