Title: Bonfire Plot: Desperate to fund his dream church, revivalist preacher Robert Evans becomes involved with wealthy Naomi Freshwater, whom he ultimately kills. Later, he encounters Naomi's niece, Laura, attempting to charm her as well, but she rebuffs his advances. When Laura uncovers the truth about her aunt's murder, Robert silences her permanently, hiding her body in a trunk. He drags it to a pit and ignites a fire. During one of his sermons, rain unexpectedly falls, extinguishing the flames and exposing the trunk’s grim contents. Robert is swiftly apprehended and faces murder charges.
