Episode Overview
Walter Mills is taken aback when his fiancée ends their engagement, claiming he's too boring. Determined to reinvent himself, he buys a wig and a beard, adopting the persona of Philip Marshall. As Philip, he meets Noreen Kimberly and offers to teach her sailing. However, Noreen’s boyfriend Curly grows suspicious, investigates, and discovers Walter's true identity. He blackmails Walter into hiding stolen jewels. Overcome with guilt, Walter confesses to Noreen, who reveals her true feelings for him and urges him to dispose of the jewels. But as he heads to his boat, the police show up and uncover not jewels, but the remains of Noreen's husband. It turns out Noreen and Curly set him up, and Walter is arrested, realizing he’s been trapped all along.
