After a successful DIY project, Phil persuades Jay to partner with him on a property he's always dreamed of developing. Meanwhile, Claire becomes enamored with a TV chef, leading her to take up Sunday dinners, though her culinary efforts aren't quite hitting the mark. Haley steps in as the family's best chance to bring some flavor back to the table. Over at the Pritchett-Tucker home, Cam and Mitchell notice their family’s dependence on technology and try to instill a sense of hard work in Lily, but their efforts backfire spectacularly. Back at the Pritchett house, Jay feels sidelined when he discovers Gloria has hired Coach Gary to train Joe and help around the house.
