Title: Blackout Plot: Michael craves some solitude at home and negotiates with Jay for her and the kids to leave. However, achieving peace proves more complicated than he anticipated. He ends up bribing Claire to take the kids to the mall and reluctantly watches The Little Mermaid with Kady yet again. In a moment of desperation, he switches the film to Gremlins, scaring Kady half to death. When the power suddenly goes out, Claire panics about losing her work on the computer. Ultimately, this power outage unexpectedly strengthens the bonds within the Kyle family.
