Feeling envious of Toni's upcoming wedding, Joan directs her anger at Ellis, holding him responsible for her own struggles. To distract herself from her feelings about Toni, she decides to step up her training for the Los Angeles Marathon just weeks before the race. Meanwhile, William, Lynn, and Maya, feeling overwhelmed by the lavish wedding registry, collaborate to gather their funds in order to find the perfect gift for Toni and her fiancé.
