Maya takes the plunge and self-publishes her book, Oh, Hell Yes, selling it on the streets where it quickly gains popularity. Ronnie informs her that a prominent publisher wants to sign her for a five-figure contract. Meanwhile, Toni attempts to reach Todd in New York, but he continues to ignore her calls. She puts on a brave face for her friends, despite their growing worries about her state of mind. Lynn starts dating a guy named Lenny, and her friends jokingly suggest they might be siblings due to their striking similarities and shared allergies. After meeting Lenny’s parents, who clarify they’re not related, Lynn decides to end the relationship, unsettled by the thought of a familial connection, and resolves to search for her biological father. Meanwhile, William chooses not to reveal his feelings for Joan and instead pursues a captivating woman he meets at a bar, only to unexpectedly run into Joan.
