The ultimate battle between good and evil unfolds. Tom pieces together clues and attempts to make his way back to Boulder. With Mother Abigail deceased and many committee members lost to an explosion, Stu, Larry, Glen, and Ralph embark on a journey westward as directed. Meanwhile, Nadine and Harold head towards Las Vegas, unaware that Randall Flagg has devious plans for them. As tensions mount, Flagg's followers begin to crumble, and Trashcan Man prepares to ignite the most massive blaze of his life.
