The community in Boulder, Colorado, is thriving under Mother Abigail's guidance, but trouble brews as Randall Flagg dispatches Nadine Cross to infiltrate their ranks. After failing to win over Larry, she shifts her focus to Harold. As the townsfolk start to establish their new lives, Mother Abigail unexpectedly departs from Boulder, raising alarm about Flagg's potential schemes in Las Vegas. In response, the residents resolve to send a trio westward to uncover his intentions.
