Chen-Gold, the wealthiest man on the planet, is searching for a husband for his stunning daughter, Mai-Sun. Driven by the Spirit of Greed, he consumes gold to transform himself into a golden figure. To support this obsession, he forces men into slavery to labor in his gold mines. When Sandy attempts to assist an escaped slave, he ends up becoming enslaved as well. Meanwhile, Pigsy volunteers as a potential suitor for Mai-Sun. Concerned about Pigsy and Sandy's absence, Tripitaka sends Monkey to find out what has happened to them.
