The Lucy Show (1962)

Episode Overview

Viv's cousin arrives in New York to perform percussion in Manhattan, but he's visibly anxious. To help calm his nerves, Lucy tells him jokes, which only causes her to get the hiccups from laughing too hard. In an attempt to help him further, Lucy tries to hypnotize him, but inadvertently sends him into a deep sleep from which he won’t awaken. With no choice left, Lucy steps in to play for him at the symphony, but her performance frustrates the conductor, leading to her taking over his position entirely.
