The Lucy Show (1962)

Episode Overview

Lucy puts out an ad for a roommate to share the costs, ultimately choosing Carol Bradford (Carol Burnett), an eccentric and somewhat disheveled librarian. Almost immediately, Carol begins to take charge of the apartment, rearranging things and laughing loudly, much to Lucy's annoyance. To give Carol a chance to meet new people and stay busy, Lucy and Mary Jane hatch a plan to throw a small gathering for her. The party takes a surprising turn as the usually reserved Carol starts enjoying herself, singing and becoming the center of attention.
