Wild Africa: Rivers of Life (2018)
S01E03 Hoanib River
Episode Overview
The Hoanib River stretches approximately 170 miles, originating in the Hoanib Valley of Namibia and meandering through the arid Namib Desert before reaching the Skeleton Coast and finally flowing into the Atlantic Ocean. This river only runs for a brief two weeks each year. When it emerges, it nourishes and transforms the surrounding terrain and the wildlife that inhabits it. During severe dry spells, the animals of this desert rely heavily on the river's vital waters to sustain their lives.
