Episode Overview

As Maggie's 16th birthday nears, Fran steps in to change her father's plans for a dull party at the Guggenheim Museum. Persuading Mr. Sheffield to host the celebration at her Aunt Frieda's bar, Fran must first mend a long-standing rift: her mother and Frieda have not spoken since 1979. They eventually reconcile, but chaos ensues when Frieda emerges from the bathroom with her backside exposed, blaming Sylvia for their original feud. This sparks a food fight that escalates throughout the party. When Mr. Sheffield arrives, he’s taken aback by the mess, but Maggie's gratitude for the fantastic party makes it all worthwhile.
