Episode Overview

Fran and Maxwell return from their Paris getaway, and Fran is over the moon. However, her joy quickly dissipates when Mr. Sheffield retracts his "I love you," leaving her heartbroken. C.C. seizes the opportunity to exploit Fran's emotional state, suggesting that Maxwell only employed her for her looks. This notion is inadvertently validated by Max during an awkward attempt at flattery. Determined to prove her worth beyond appearances, Fran heads to a singles bar with Val, where she connects with a blind man. After he unexpectedly ends things, Fran and Mr. Sheffield agree to stay friends.
